Red Bull Salzburg boss denies reported deal with RB Leipzig
Red Bull Salzburg deny that a deal which will see Xaver Schlager join RB Leipzig in the summer has been reached.
Red Bull Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund has dismissed the recent transfer rumors linking Xaver Schlager with a move to RB Leipzig.
According to Salzburger Nachrichten, Schlager has already signed a contract with RB Leipzig, but Freund insists that's not the case.
"I talked to Xaver earlier, and he has confirmed that he has not signed a pre-contract agreement or similar with RB Leipzig," Freund said, as quoted by Red Bull Salzburg.
Schlager, who came through the youth ranks at Red Bull Salzburg, has made eight appearances for the Austrian national team.
