RB Leipzig open to extending Kevin Kampl's contract
RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick says he's open to extending the cooperation with Kevin Kampl.
RB Leipzig are willing to talk to Kevin Kampl about extending his contract, which runs until 2021, says the club's sporting director and head coach, Ralf Rangnick.
According to Bild, Kampl's current deal includes an exit clause of €40 million that 'Die Roten Bullen' would like to remove from a potential new contract.
"We can talk about the contract in the summer. He still has two years left of his deal. But if he signals that he would like to stay longer, we can certainly talk about it," Rangnick told Bild.
Kampl, 28, joined RB Leipzig from Bayer Leverkusen in a €20 million deal in 2017.
