Philipp Max: 'I'd like to take the next step at some point'

Philipp Max feels comfortable at Augsburg, but admits he'd like to take the next step at some point.

    Philipp Max hinted he was thinking about leaving Augsburg last summer, but the left-back ultimately stayed at WWK Arena.

    He certainly hasn't given up his ambition of taking the next step at a bigger club, though.

    "Of course, I've never hidden the fact that I'd like to take the next step at some point. I will continue to stand by that. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm always grateful to Augsburg and want to show that with my performances," Max said in an interview with Kicker.

    Max, 26, has been one of Augsburg's stand-out performers this season, racking up six goals and five assists in 16 games this season.
