Timo Werner: We have to believe that we can win the Euros

Germany have a chance of winning the Euros as long as they head into the tournament believing exactly that, says Timo Werner.

Timo Werner says Germany must head into this year's European Championship with the belief that they can go all the way.

"We have a strong team. We're in a tough group, but we want to go as far as possible," Werner said in an interview with Bundesliga.com and added:

"Being part of the Germany team going into the Euros, saying 'we will see how it goes' is not good enough. We want to win it. Even if it will be hard and even though we are not favourites, we need to go into it believing exactly that.

"With this mentality of wanting it all, we have a chance. We will see how far we get," Werner said.

Werner and 'Die Mannschaft' have been drawn into Group F with reigning world champions France and European champions Portugal. The winner of Play-off Path A - either Iceland, Romania, Bulgaria or Hungary - will take the last spot in the group.
