Hertha boss Michael Preetz not ruling out a return for the Boateng brothers

Hertha BSC boss Michael Preetz has reacted to comments from Kevin-Prince Boateng, who has said it would be 'a dream' for him to return to the German capital club with his brother Jerome Boateng.
Kevin-Prince Boateng says it would be 'a dream' for him to return to his hometown club Hertha BSC along with his half-brother Jerome Boateng.

"To end my career with my brother on the pitch, maybe with our home club at the Olympic Stadium, would be a dream," Kevin-Prince Boateng, who is on loan at Besiktas from Fiorentina, said during a live chat on Instagram.

Jerome Boateng, whose contract with Bayern München expires in 2021, refused to rule out anything and added:

"You never know in football..."

When asked about the statements made by the Boateng brothers, Hertha BSC boss Michael Preetz told Bild:

"It's nice to hear that they have so close ties to Berlin and to Hertha BSC. They are Berlin boys, and both have achieved a lot in their careers and seen the world. That they're drawn to their home at some point, back to this great city, is totally understandable and makes me very happy. If it comes to it, I'm sure we'll exchange ideas."
