Moukoko remains sidelined for Germany's U21 Euro clash with Romania

After missing Germany's first two U21 Euro games, Youssoufa Moukoko will not be able to feature against Romania either.
Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko has been ruled out of Germany's final European Under-21 Championship group-stage game against Romania on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old forward has missed Germany's first two matches against Hungary and the Netherlands due to a shin bone injury that will keep him out of tonight's game as well, but he's not leaving camp early.

"At the moment, he is more or less receiving full-time treatment. We have agreed with [Dortmund head of the licensed player division] Sebastian Kehl that he will stay with us for now," Germany U21 coach Stefan Kuntz told RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland.

A draw against Romania would be enough for Germany to seal their progress to the knockout stages in May, at which point Kuntz hopes Moukoko will be fit to feature.

"He's using the time now to get to know everything, so he won't have to get to know so much new stuff in May," said Kuntz.
