Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Julian Nagelsmann will leave RB Leipzig to succeed Hansi Flick as Bayern München coach at the end of the season.

The deal has been reported to be worth a world record €25 million, but in a recent interview with Abendzeitung, Bayern president Herbert Hainer seemed to downplay the reported transfer fee.

"We had to reach an agreement with RB Leipzig because Julian Nagelsmann was still under contract there. But don't believe all the numbers reported," said Hainer, who is delighted with the appointment of the 33-year-old.

"FC Bayern is one of the best teams in Europe and needs a top coach. With the signing of Julian Nagelsmann, we have succeeded in this regard."
