Who will end up as Nagelsmann's right-hand man at Bayern Munich next season?

Julian Nagelsmann’s right hand man at Bayern Munich is still unknown, after Kicker's recent reports indicated that his current assistants Timmo Hardung and Benjamin Glück will remain at Leipzig.
34-year-old Nagelsmann has forged himself as one of Europe’s top managers, let alone in the Bundesliga.

After news broke out earlier this year that he will take over the helm at Bavaria - his right hand men Glück, who is a video analyst at Leipzig & Hardung, who has been his team manager for almost six years now were poised to move with him - Nagelsmann himself commented: “They have already come with me from Hoffenheim and are moving on with me. It's been agreed with the club.”

Perhaps not.

According to the latest report from Kicker, Bayern Munich’s Kathleen Kruger, who is the team manager at Bavaria will continue her position.

Kruger, 35, holds the same position Hardung functions at RB Leipzig.

Apparently, Hardung, who is 31, is relatively new to the role and supposed to primarily take care of organizational and structural tasks at the east German club.

On the other hand, Kruger is one of Die Roten’s most cherished and important employees – operating as a team manager since 2012, when Matthias Sammer replaced Christian Nerlinger as the sporting director.

It remains to be seen if Hardung is offered another position within the Bayern coaching staff, if anything does materialize.

The report also mentions that 35-year-old Glück’s departure from Die Rotten Bullen depends if the club management are willing to let him part ways. The same applies to current RB Leipzig assistants Dino Toppmöller (40) and Xaver Zembrod (54).

However, 48-year-old Alfred Schreuder, who is presently FC Barcelona’s assistant manager under Ronald Koeman, is another candidate to join Nagelsmann.

Schreuder and Nagelsmann have a history of working alongside each other in Hoffenheim for two years, from 2016 to 2018.

The futures of current and previous assistant coaches Hermann Gerland (contract until 2022), Danny Röhl (contract until 2023) and Miroslav Klose (contract until the end of the season) will have to be assessed first at Bayern before the club can take things further.
