L'Equipe mention Paris as a possible destination for superstar Bayern striker

Robert Lewandowski made Bundesliga history on the penultimate matchday against Freiburg with his penalty goal – matching Gerd Muller’s legendary 40 goal season record. He can take it one further with Augsburg on the final matchday of the 2020/21 season.
Reports of Lewandowski searching for a new challenge has emerged in recent weeks, with suitors from England in Chelsea and Manchester City appearing as contenders for his signature.

However, such reports were thrown aside by Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge when he spoke to Sport BILD. When asked about whether the Polish marksman would be staying at Bavaria, he quickly replied: “Sure, he stays! Who sells a player who scores 60 goals a year?”

Now according to reports from France from renowned newspaper L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain will make Lewandowski a target should they lose Kylian Mbappe.

PSG are reportedly ready to make a big money move to compensate the loss for their talented young forward.

Lewandowski’s contract at the Allianz Arena runs through till June 2023, but an extension may just be around the corner after Rummennigge’s comments.

Bayern Munich will undoubtedly be reluctant to lose their 33-year-old superstar striker, who has set new goalscoring standards in Germany.
