Dortmund seal Champions League place with win over Mainz

Borussia Dortmund booked a spot in the Champions League with a 3-1 win over Mainz.

Borussia Dortmund beat Mainz 3-1 at OPEL Arena on Sunday to secure Champions League football next season.


'Die Schwarzgelben' were leading 2-0 at half-time after Jadon Sancho set up goals from Raphael Guerreiro and Marco Reus.

After the break, Julian Brandt added to the lead before Robin Quaison grabbed a consolation goal from the penalty spot in injury time.

Dortmund now sit third, one point in front of Wolfsburg, who have a game in hand, and four points clear of Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of this season's final round of Bundesliga fixtures.
