Dominik Szoboszlai has extended his contract with RB Leipzig by a further year until 2026.

The Hungarian international joined RB Leipzig from RB Salzburg in January, but is yet to make his Bundesliga debut due to a long-term adductor injury.

"Of course, my first six months at RB Leipzig were different to what I had imagined. The goal was for me to be able to help the team on the pitch during the second half of the season, which unfortunately didn't work out. But I'm now fully recovered; I will be able to go 100% next season and I can't wait for the new campaign," commented Szoboszlai.

"From day one, I have felt total backing, complete trust and maximum support from the club during this difficult phase. The contract extension during this period is another strong indication of that and underlines that we want to do something and be successful together in the long term."
