Kicker: Bochum to lose influential star

Robert Žulj, who played an important part in Bochum's successes last season, will be leaving the 2. Bundesliga champions before the start of the season, according to Kicker.
Žulj is reportedly moving to Al-Nasr in Dubai 'purely for financial reasons.'

According to Kicker, Al-Nasr have activated Žulj's release clause of less than 400,000 euros, and it is a bitter blow as they don't receive nearly enough compensation for the skill that Robert Žulj brings. One could criticize the release clause, however according to Kicker Bochum wouldn't have been able to sign Žulj in 2020 without the release clause.

The 29-year-old undoubtedly played his best season of his career yet. He scored 15 times and delivered 15 assists, controlled the Bochum midfield, and without him 'Die Unabsteigbaren' would not be in the Bundesliga now.
