Report: Agent seeks high weekly stipend as Sancho and Manchester United look to agree to terms

Multiple German media sources continue to treat the transfer of Borussia Dortmund phenom Jadon Sancho to Manchester United as fact.

Germany's main sporting tabloid cites one of its English counterparts to claim that the blockbuster deal is being held up by high-stakes salary negotiations.

Assuming that Borussia Dortmund find ManU's reported latest tender of a transfer fee in the neighborhood of €90 million to be acceptable, England's Jadon Sancho may be poised to be one of the world's most highly compensated footballers.

Britain's Daily Star reports that the 21-year-old's agent seeks a weekly salary in the neighborhood of €400,000. This would render him the club's second highest earner behind keeper David de Gea.

Germany's Sport Bild cites the British tabloid to claim that the English Red Devils find a weekly wage of €290,000 to be more appropriate. This naturally means that the two sides remain far apart.

While negotiations may drag for a bit longer, the ManU lowball counter still constitutes a significant increase in Sancho's weekly stipend. The youngster currently earns roughly €175,000 per week in the Bundesliga.
