FC Köln's Ismail Jakobs is on the verge of a move to AS Monaco, according to Bild.

Per the report, Jakobs wasn't involved in Köln's 1-1 friendly draw with Duisburg today after being allowed to negotiate with the French Ligue 1 side.

Tomorrow, the player will travel to Frankfurt to link up with the German squad for the Summer Olympics, and he is considered unlikely to return to Köln after the tournament in Tokyo, with his switch to Monaco expected to be concluded in the near future.

The 21-year-old, who is capable of playing as a left-back and as a left winger, has appeared 47 times for FC Köln, racking up four goals and four assists.
