El Chadaille Bitshiabu was left out of RB Leipzig's squad for Friday's 0-0 draw with Augsburg because he was late for the bus.

According to Kicker, Bitshiabu was not only supposed to be in the squad, but also in the starting line-up, as he was meant to deputize for suspended captain Willi Orban.

However, Leipzig coach Marco Rose was forced to change his plans after Bitshiabu arrived late for the bus.

"I'm sure he'll apologize to the boys," Rose told Bild about the incident.

"We don't really need something like that at the moment, but it happens. I'm not going to bite his head off, he should learn from it," added the Leipzig coach, who plans to include the defender in training as normal.

"Then we'll all carry on together," he said.

Leipzig's next game is at home to Heidenheim on Sunday.
