Bayer Leverkusen were on the front foot in Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with Bayern Munich, but were unable to capitalize on their dominance as the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

Bayern captain Manuel Neuer was pleased with the draw, which leaves his side eight points clear of the champions at the top of the Bundesliga.

"We are happy with the result. We didn't create much ourselves. Leverkusen had a good day. They put us under pressure and it was difficult for us to get into position," Neuer said in an interview with Sky.

"But in the end we go home with a point. Maybe it was a bit of luck, but that's what it comes down to in the end

"It was important that we didn't lose this game," he stressed.
