Reports: Frankfurt will not suspend Kostic, teammate Kamada expresses understanding

According to German national broadcaster Sport1 and local radio Hessischer Rundfunk, Eintracht Frankfurt will not suspend Serbian Winger Filip Kostic for his behavior over the past two weeks.

Speaking to German footballing magazine Kicker, SGE teammate Daichi Kamada expressed some sympathy with Kostic's actions during the late botched transfer.

Despite absconding from his club team in the last league round and a questionable social media post that seemed to skirt responsibility for his actions, it appears as if there will be no consequences for SGE winger Filip Kostic. This has been reported by Christopher Michel; a source close to the team who works for both national broadcaster Sport1 and local radio Hessischer Rundfunk.

The 28-year-old flanker will be in head-coach Oliver Glasner's squad this weekend and can face former club VfB Stuttgart if he so desires. Michel reports that the club did consider implementing the rumored one-match-ban and fine, but ultimately opted to simply talk with the disaffected attacker today.

Many associated with the club have already taken care to indicate that Kostic will be welcomed back when he finds himself prepared to reintegrate into the team. Speaking to Jim Decker of German footballing magazine Kicker, Attacking midfielder Daichi Kamada added his own supportive thoughts.

"I hope to platy together with him successfully just like in previous years," Kamada said when asked about the situation, "It can be the case that you're not able to focus 100 percent properly on matters."

Kamada himself dealt with numerous transfer rumors this offseason and was himself thought to want to leave the club.

In the rest of his interview with Decker, Kamada appeared enthusiastic about remaining and expressed eagerness to play more in the upcoming Europa League group stages.
