Tjark Scheller and SC Paderborn are continuing their partnership, as the newly promoted Bundesliga side confirmed this afternoon.

The 24-year-old central defender has extended his contract with the East Westphalian club ahead of schedule.

Scheller joined Paderborn from FC St. Pauli on a free transfer in 2024 and has since made 69 competitive appearances for the club.

The defender played the full 90 minutes in their Bundesliga opener against 1.FSV Mainz 05 last weekend which ended in a 0-0 draw.

"Tjark has developed into a key player for SCP07. He is strong in tackles, incredibly composed, and always puts the team first.

"On and off the pitch, he is extremely reliable, making him a perfect fit for our Paderborn philosophy.

"We are therefore very pleased that Tjark is staying with us," said Managing Director Sebastian Lange after the deal was announced.
