Notoriously fickle German central defender Felix Uduokhai has apparently changed his mind about departing FC Augsburg once again. One summer after reversing course on a transfer request and opting to extend with the Fuggerstädter after all, the 26-year-old has evidently decided to cancel a transfer request he himself lodged in recent weeks.
Footballing journalist Tobi Altschäffl of Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid reports that Uduokhai has turned down a chance to join Beşiktaş Istanbul in spite of the fact that he received a lucrative offer. It remains to be seen if the former German youth international and Olympic representative will be on the move elsewhere this summer.
Uduokhai's current FCA contract expires at the end of next season. The Bavarian Swabian club has already responded proactively to Uduokhai's request to leave by signing Keven Schlotterbeck from Freiburg and promoting German-American prospect Noahkai Banks to the senior team. Uduokhai maintains an estimated market worth of €7 million.
