Bayern in no rush to discuss new Sané deal

Bayern Munich aren't stressing about Leroy Sané's contract expiring at the end of the season.

Despite Leroy Sané entering the final year of his contract, Bayern Munich are in no rush to discuss a new deal with the winger.

Their main priority at the moment, according to board member for sport Max Eberl, is to get Sané back into action after the groin surgery he underwent in the summer.

"The most important thing for Leroy is that he gets healthy and is back on the pitch soon. That's what we're concentrating on at the moment, because Leroy can make the difference at any time with his extraordinary qualities," Eberl told Sport Bild.

The 50-year-old added that “his future will be discussed calmly in the coming months.”

"We all know that he is a factor in winning titles," he emphasized.

It is unclear when Sané will be ready to return to action. In an interview published on the club's website just over a week ago, the winger said:

“We have deliberately left it open to give me the time, until I can say that everything feels perfect. We are on the right track. We’ll see when the time comes."
