RB Leipzig are back to winning ways with a 3-1 success over TSG Hoffenheim in Zsolt Löw’s Bundesliga debut. It was also a 300th game in the league for the Bulls as the win boosted their Champions League hopes in a matchday both Eintracht Frankfurt and Mainz dropped points.

“The team did a great job today. After being knocked out of the cup on Wednesday night, there wasn't much time to recover mentally or physically for today,” said Löw before delving deep into the lack of preparation time for his group.

“We came straight out of an intense game against Stuttgart, while Hoffenheim were rested. The early goal didn't help chase any of the tiredness out of our legs. That's why I'm even more proud of the team. The luck that we were missing in Stuttgart was back on our side today.”

Löw also shared his opinion about the difference between his previous posts at Leipzig and working as an interim coach. “It's obviously something different to be here now as the head coach. You're not only part of the process, but also the one who needs to make the decisions.

“It was definitely something special for me to be back on the sidelines at the Red Bull Arena, where I've been able to experience many special moments before.”
