Dortmund boss comments on Beier links

Lars Ricken was asked about speculation linking Hoffenheim's Maximilian Beier with Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

Borussia Dortmund managing director for sport Lars Ricken was coy when asked about reports suggesting that the Black and Yellows are working on signing Maximilian Beier from Hoffenheim.

“In terms of possible arrivals, we are keeping all options open,” he told reporters on Wednesday.

“You're always being asked about names. It's not just Hoffenheim or us who know that Maximilian Beier is a good player, but also many other clubs. But he is a player for another club,” said Ricken when asked specifically about Beier.

“We currently have three strikers and are thinking about whether we should do something or not. We will see.”

Niclas Füllkrug's move to West Ham has left the injured Serhou Guirassy, Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko, who is reportedly close to joining Olympique Marseille, as Dortmund's options up front.
