Report: Hoffenheim line up possible replacement for Matarazzo

TSG Hoffenheim have reportedly identified a possible replacement for Pellegrino Matarazzo.

Pressure is mounting on Hoffenheim coach Pellegrino Matarazzo after his side threw away a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3 to Werder Bremen on Sunday.

The defeat, Hoffenheim's fourth in a row, leaves them 16th in the table with just three points from their opening five games.

According to Kicker, the club's worrying start to the season has prompted the club's directors to look for a possible successor, with David Wagner reportedly a candidate.

The former Schalke 04 coach has been without a club since leaving Norwcih City in mid-May.

Germany assistant coach Sandro Wagner and former Bayern Munich defender Martin Demichelis have rejected approaches from Hoffenheim in the past, according to reports.
