Klopp lays down new rules for Germany stars

Having taken over as Germany coach over the summer, Jürgen Klopp has introduced a number of new rules that differ from those under his predecessor, Julian Nagelsmann, according to Sport Bild.
Under Nagelsmann, players at the team hotel were allowed to gradually arrive for dinner from 7pm or 8pm. Klopp, however, has changed that, with players now expected to be at dinner punctually at 7pm or 8pm. The aim is to strengthen team spirit by having the entire squad sit down and eat together at the same time.
Another rule, according to the report, is that phones have been banned during activation sessions on matchdays, when players are warming up in the gym or receiving massages. While phones are strictly off-limits during this time, conversations with teammates at the neighbouring treatment tables are not only allowed but encouraged.
Additionally, haircuts at the hotel or team base are a no-go, with Klopp arguing that if you go on a business trip, you get your hair cut beforehand – just like any other employee would.
Finally, while Nagelsmann's approach was to allow entire families to travel to the team base whenever possible, family visits will only be permitted on selected occasions under Klopp. The idea is for the team to focus on its shared objective and grow together as a unit while at the team base.
Germany begin the Klopp era when they face the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday.
