Lacroix agrees to personal terms with Palace, Plettenberg reports

German transfer guru Florian Plettenberg reports that VfL Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix has agreed to personal terms with south London EPL side Crystal Palace.

Maxence Lacroix's interest in re-uniting with his former head-coach Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace has, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, led to the 24-year-old agreeing to personal terms with the south London club. Whether or not the Frenchman will be moving to the Isle remains to be seen. Germany's green company team will surely entertain offers for Lacroix as he is entering the final year of his VfL contract.

Much is up in the air in the Wolfsburg central defensive corps. Greek center back Konstantinos Koulierakis is expected to be unveiled shortly, but there are also outgoing transfer links swirling around Sebastiaan Bornauw and Moritz Jenz.Twenty-six-year-old Swiss international Cedric Zesiger is the only veteran CB expected to remain in place for the coming season.

Lacroix maintains an estimated market worth of €20 million and the German Wolves - operating on an estimated negative transfer balance of €15 million this summer - will seek to recoup every penny. A deal of such magnitude will naturally also include performance related bonuses; a matter that can surely stretch negotiations out.
