Chelsea's Christensen to return to the Bundesliga?

A return to the Bundesliga could be on the cards for Chelsea's Andreas Christensen who has admitted he is not satisfied with his current situation in London.
Andreas Christensen has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea after Maurizio Sarri has taken over as coach, and the Danish international is yet to make a Premier League appearance this season.

The centre-back spent two seasons on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach from 2015 to 2017, and rumors have emerged that he could return to Borussia-Park on a loan deal - possibly including a purchase option - in January.

According to Express.de, Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl made an agreement with Chelsea in 2017 that Christensen could return to 'Die Fohlen' in case he wouldn't get to play regularly in London.

Meanwhile, Eberl has remained in touch with Christensen and the defender's father and agent Sten.

Christensen recently admitted that he's frustrated with his current situation.

"It has been a difficult start to the season. I can't stand to have that much patience. I'm 22 years old, and I'd really like to play. During the past three seasons, I have always been a regular for the teams I've played for, so obviously I don't see myself staying here if my current situation will continue in the future," he told Ritzau and added:

"It's too early to discuss when I'm going to make a switch if that will even happen at all. But, obviously, this is not a good situation for me."
