FC Augsburg smashed their transfer record with the €16.36 million signing of Ricardo Pepi from FC Dallas earlier this month – and the 19-year-old has big ambitions for his new club.

"I have a dream: I want to play in the Champions League with Augsburg," Pepi told Sport Bild.

Augsburg have never qualified for the Champions League before, but reached the Europe League round of 16 in the 2015/16 season in their only previous appearance in Europe.

"That might sound crazy at the moment, but that's my goal. I've always had big dreams. And that's the only way I could get move forward."

So far, Pepi has made two appearances for Augsburg, who sit 15th in the Bundesliga.
