Borussia Dortmund is currently holding internal discussions about how to respond to Niklas Süle's absence.

After it was confirmed earlier this afternoon, August 11, that the 29-year-old will miss two months with a calf injury; solutions are needed.

Long-term absentee Nico Schlotterbeck isn't expected back until late October, while Emre Can is still sidelined with adductor problems.

While the remaining budget was earmarked for attacking reinforcements, defensive talent Filippo Mané is said to be capable of providing cover.

Nevertheless, these two names are among those being discussed at BVB - Juan Gimenez and Renato Veiga.

For Chelsea defender Veiga, only a loan would be conceivable. Atlético Madrid recently offered to buy but had their bid turned down.

Talks with Gimenez of Rosario Central are well underway, with the Argentine club demanding around €5-8 million.
