Wolfsburg are on the lookout for a new striker, and the club's sporting director, Olaf Rebbe, has identified RB Leipzig's Yussuf Poulsen as an option, Bild reports.

'Die Wölfe' are in need of new blood up front. The club sold Mario Gomez to Stuttgart in January and will most likely lose another striker this summer as loanee Divock Origi is expected to go back to Liverpool.

Now, Wolfsburg reportedly hope to lure Yussuf Poulsen to the Volkswagen Arena. The striker has made 38 appearances for RB Leipzig this season, but has just started 15 times.

However, the Danish international, who joined RB Leipzig in 2013, extended his contract until 2021 in September 2017 and recently said in an interview that he is very happy at the club.

"When you play for a club for so long time, you get the feeling that you belong there. I've been here for nearly five years, and the city of Leipzig has grown in my heart during that time. I feel at home here," he told UEFA.com last month.
