According to German broadcaster Sport1, transfer talks between Eintracht Frankfurt and Juventus Turin have been broken off and Filip Kostic is now looking likely to sign a contract extension with his German club. The German media source claims that the vital supplier of 63 assists for club across all competitions over the last three seasons will remain in Germany's finance capital.

The reason for the sudden about face, as per Sport1, is that SGE sporting director Markus Krösche has opted to go all-out with his own finances. It has long been considered reliable information that Eintracht have offered the Serbian winger a salary of some €4 million annually should he sign new working papers.

That tender has now reportedly been increased to €5 million. Should such information prove correct, Kostic will join German national team keeper Kevin Trapp as Frankfurt's highest paid professional. No other German footballing media sources presently corroborate the report.
