Atlético Madrid forward Nikola Kalinic has attracted interest from Schalke 04, Bild reports.

According to the German tabloid, 'The Royal Blues' have made an inquiry for Kalinic as they hope to reach a loan deal that will include a €15 million purchase option.

Atletico paid €14,5 million to sign Kalinic from AC Milan last summer, but he hasn't played a significant role so far and has been limited to just five league starts.

The Spanish capital club are reportedly willing to let Kalinic leave with Alvaro Morata set to join on loan from Chelsea.
