Emil Forsberg hasn't played for RB Leipzig since he suffered a groin strain in October.

But now - after returning to training two weeks ago - the Swedish international feels ready to make his comeback.

"I've been training for two weeks and have had no problems. The pain is gone now," Forsberg told DPA and added:

"If you ask me, I'd be happy to play from the start. Whether that's clever is another matter."

Forsberg was left out of RB Leipzig's squad for last weekend's 0-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund as a precaution.

This weekend, 'Die Roten Bullen' face Fortuna Düsseldorf away from home on Sunday.
