Board member for sport Max Eberl denies reports suggesting that Thomas Müller will not be offered a new deal by Bayern Munich. According to Kicker, Bayern decided against extending his contract for financial reasons despite a clear interest from the player to end his career at the club.

“As we've said several times, we are in talks with Thomas Müller,” reiterated Max Eberl to Bild. “As in recent weeks and months, we will only announce something when there's something to announce".

The 35-year-old was available for selection for every Bayern game this season, but he only started 12 matches in all competitions. He still managed to reach double figures for direct goal involvement (5 goals, 5 assists), however. Sky confirmed that Müller has already received offers from MLS.
