According to the German goalkeeper, one of the main differences is the more physical style of play in England.
"Everything here is much more physical. The referees let the game run much more here than they do in the Bundesliga or even in international games," Leno said in an interview with Sport Bild and added:
"As a goalkeeper, you have have no protection in England. Therefore, you have to acquire tremendous toughness. No matter how you approach it, you always have to assume that nothing gets whistled. Since I've come to England, I haven't seen a goalkeeper win a single free kick inside the penalty area. That's a big difference."
Leno also explained he believes the general level is higher in England.
"Every game here is difficult. I'd really like to know how a team like Crystal Palace would fare in the Bundesliga with top players like Wilfried Zaha or Andros Townsend," he explained.
Leno, 26, has made 22 appearances for Arsenal so far.
