Brunner's agent plays down Italy links

Paris Brunner's agent has brushed off speculation linking the 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund youngster with a move to Italy.
Norbert Brunner, the father and agent of highly-rated Borussia Dortmund youngster Paris Brunner, has denied suggestions that he has been in Italy to discuss a move for the 17-year-old.

"The story that I was recently in Italy to discuss a transfer is completely unfounded. There's absolutely nothing to it," Norbert Brunner told Sport1.

The German Under-17 world champion's current contract with Dortmund expires in 2025 and it's currently unclear if he will extend it.

"The talks with Dortmund are still going on, but nothing has been decided yet. The top priority for Paris at his age is clearly the sporting prospects and not the financial conditions," said Norbert Brunner.

Although Brunner's talent is undeniable, Dortmund's decision-makers are said to have doubts about his mentality.

In October, he was briefly suspended by the club for an unspecified incident, and at the club's training camp in Marbella in January, he again made headlines for all the wrong reasons when he reportedly tried to sneak out of his hotel room at night despite being told to stay in after midnight.
