Hannover 96 president Martin Kind has blasted his team in the wake of the disappointing 1-5 defeat to VfB Stuttgart on Sunday.

With 10 matches to go, the 74-year-old makes no attempt to conceal that he expects Hannover to be playing in the 2. Bundesliga next season.

"The current team is kaput, badly assembled and has failed. I've set sights on going straight back up once again," Kind told Neue Presse and added:

"I'm incredibly angry. There have been so many mistakes. It starts with me, concerns the sporting leadership, the coach and so on. We have to find new positions. This model has failed."

Hannover are sitting 17th in the Bundesliga - five points behind 16th-placed VfB Stuttgart.
