Dietmar Hamann believes Bayern München should change their playing style after the signing of Philippe Coutinho on a season-long loan deal from FC Barcelona.

Niko Kovac has preferred a 4-3-3 formation so far this season, but Hamann, who describes Coutinho as a 'sensational signing', feels the Bayern coach should switch to a 4-2-3-1 system in order to get the most out his new player.

"I'm confident that Coutinho will be a huge hit in the Bundesliga. FC Bayern will benefit enormously from him and his technical ability, especially in games against defensive opponents," Hamann wrote in Kicker and added:

"Bayern have to change their playing style, so it suits Coutinho - not the other way around. The best match is a 4-2-3-1."

Coutinho could make his Bayern debut when the Bavarians face Schalke 04 away from home in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
