Bayern München are being linked with a January swoop for AS Monaco's Benjamin Henrichs. And, apparently, it's not the first time the Bavarians have shown an interest in the full-back.

According to Henrichs' former agent Ali Bulut, Bayern already wanted to bring the defender to Allianz Arena three years ago when he played for Bayer Leverkusen.

"Bayern made an offer for Benjamin Henrichs in 2016, with a contract ready to be signed for the 2017/18 season, but I was convinced that 'Benny' needed another year or two before he would be ready for a move to FC Bayern. Bayern shared this opinion," Bulut told t-online.de.

Henrichs joined Monaco in 2018.
