Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed that Paco Alcacer has travelled to Spain to complete a move to another club.

When asked about the Spanish striker, who is said to be on the verge of joining Villarreal, Zorc told reporters at a press conference:

"It's true that Paco was not in training today. We have allowed him to travel to Spain to finalize negotiations with another club.

"It wasn't an easy decision to make. But we've changed our formation to a 3-4-1-2 with Jadon Sancho and Thorgan Hazard playing up top. Then we brought in Erling Haaland as well. We always have to think about how a player can help us," Zorc said.

Zorc also admitted that Dortmund are trying to bring Emre Can to Signal Iduna Park from Juventus before the transfer window closes on Friday.

"It's no secret that's something we're working on. There's no final decision yet. There may still be one or two things happening, but it's also possible that nothing more happens," he said.
