Hoffenheim were the most dominant side against Borussia Dortmund at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena today, but 'Die Kraichgauer' ultimately had to settle for draw after a late equaliser by Christian Pulisic.

The home side applied pressure from the start of the game and went deservedly ahead just before the break after Joelinton scored his first Bundesliga goal. The Brazilian was given too much space just within the penalty area and sent the ball past Roman Bürki with a controlled finish.

After the break, Hoffenheim continued creating chances and actually got the ball into the net again into the net again in the beginning of the second half through Andrej Kramaric, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Meanwhile, Dortmund still barely created anything, and the away side's hopes of getting anything out of the game suffered a blow when Abdou Diallo was sent off with 76 minutes on the clock after he brought down Andrej Kramaric with his arm.

Towards the end, Hoffenheim took the foot off the gas, and Dortmund took advantage of that. After 84 minutes, Marco Reus accelerated into the penalty area and squared the ball to an unmarked Christian Pulisic who made it 1-1.

Deep into injury time, Hoffenheim's Ishak Belfodil got a huge chance to earn his side a late win, but he sent the ball over the goal at the back post after a great pass from Nico Schulz.

Therefore, it all ended 1-1 - a result that left the Hoffenheim players visibly disappointed while the away side looked pleased about getting a draw despite a red card and a lack of chances.

Here's what Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus said after the game.
