FC Augsburg announced David Čolina joines NK Osijek on a loan deal. The Croat side will also have the option to buy at the end of the season. Osijek finished the previoous season in 7th place in the league.

Čolina scored on his Bundesliga debut against Borussia Dortmund, but he only played seven games before leaving the club the first time. The left-back was at Danish Superliga side Vejle BK for a season and a half.

"Given the strong competition on the left side of defense, another loan is the best option for David (Čolina). In Croatia, he will have the chance to play regularly and develop further. We wish him every success," said FCA Managing Director Michael Ströll.

"I'm happy to return to my home country of Croatia. My goal is to get plenty of playing time and prove myself on the pitch. I thank the Augsburg’s management for accepting my transfer request," said Čolina after the move finalized.
