Sport Bild Report: Gladbach find loan locale for Olschowsky

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach have found a loan locale to park goalkeeping prospect Jan Olschowsky.

As had been reported late in the recently completed Bundesliga season, Borussia Mönchengladbach have opted to retain the services of Jonas Omlin, Tobias Sippel, and surprise success Moritz Nicolas ahead of the coming season. With young prospect Maximilian Brüll potentially in the mix as well, former designated "keeper of the future" Jan Olschowsky is the odd man out.

A contract extension for the 36-year-old Sippel (also reported on) was confirmed some ten days ago. Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid now claims that the 22-year-old Olschowsky will be headed to TSV 1860 München in the 3. Liga. The paper offers up no information as of yet as to whether the loan will last for one or two years. It had been previously reported that Gladbach were looking to send Olschowsky out on a two-year-loan.

Olschowsky remains under contract with the VfL of Niederrhein through 2027. Nicolas himself was loaned out to four separate clubs over a four-year-span before finally getting his chance under BMG trainer Gerardo Seoane last season. Nicolas made 31 appearances for Viktoria Köln in the 3. Liga during the 2021/22 campaign.
