Report: Bayern decide against signing Tah

Kicker reports that Jonathan Tah will not be joining Bayern Munich after all.

After lengthy negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich have decided not to sign Jonathan Tah, according to Kicker.

The report claims that the decision was recently made by the top management of the Bavarian club.

Whether or not Matthijs de Ligt, who has been linked with Manchester United, leaves the club is apparently not a factor in the decision.

In addition to the Dutchman, Bayern have six players capable of playing in central defense, namely Eric Dier, Dayot Upamecano, Hiroki Ito, Minjae Kim, Josip Stanišić and Tarek Buchmann.

Tah, who was reportedly keen to join Bayern, is contracted to Bayer Leverkusen until 2025.
