Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has revealed that he feels the new contract presented to Dayot Upamecano is more than reasonable offer.

“It's common knowledge that we want to extend Upamecano's contract," said the Bavarians' chief in an interview with Abendzeitung.

"And I also believe we have nothing to be ashamed of regarding what we've offered him. It [the offer] reflects the outstanding performances Upa has delivered this season.

“Other factors often play a role in such a decision, not just the financial aspect. It shouldn't be about every last euro,” he added.

Regarding his own personal feelings as to whether the French defender will accept the offer, Dreesen passed on the responsibility.

“That's a question that mainly concerns Max Eberl and Christoph Freund. They are in good talks with Upa. I'd like to leave it at that assessment for now," Dreesen explained.
