17-year-old Lennart Karl stole the show for Bayern Munich in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Sporting CP, scoring the decisive goal and earning UEFA's Man of the Match award.
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany, however, said he believes the youngster has played better matches in the past.
“Lennart is always dangerous. To be honest, he’s played better games for us, but he’s always there,” Kompany told DAZN.
"When he gets his moments, he just finishes. That’s important for us.”
The Belgian coach was pleased to see his side come back to win 3-1 after going behind early in the second half.
“Sporting is a tough opponent; they’re in the top eight of the Champions League for a reason. We stayed calm after going behind," he said.
