Reports differ on Füllkrug's fitness ahead of Euro 2024

Bild and Sky Germany disagree on whether Niclas Füllkrug is 100 percent fit ahead of Euro 2024.

On Sunday, Bild reported that Niclas Füllkrug is not fully fit ahead of the European Championship with Germany.

According to the German tabloid, Füllkrug is struggling with his knee and is currently unable to play 90 minutes,

The report also suggests that the Borussia Dortmund striker's injury problems are one of the reasons why Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has opted for Kai Havertz as his first choice up front.

However, a few hours after Bild's article was published, Sky Germany released a contradictory report, insisting that the 31-year-old striker is in top form for the European Championship.

According to Sky, the 31-year-old is eager to play and has no physical problems.

Füllkrug played 21 minutes in Germany's 2-1 friendly win over Greece on Friday.

In total, the forward has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances for the Germa national team.
