Eintracht attacking prospect transfers to Fürth

SpVgg Greuther Fürth unveiled Eintracht Frankfurt attacking prospect Noel Futkeu as a new signing on Saturday afternoon. 

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Noel Futkeu has completed a transfer to SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The 21-year-old signed with the SGE on a free las summer. Since then, he's featured for the Eintracht reserves in the Regionalliga Südwest. The Essen-native scored 16 goals for SGE II in the fourth-tier this season. 

Futkeu also made one appearance for the Frankfurt first team in the Pokal this season. His relief shift off the bench in the Round-of-16 loss to Saarbrücken nevertheless proved a day to forget. The youngster drew a straight red card seven minutes after his introduction. 

"We're delighted with how Noel developed and presented himself in our U21s last season," Eintracht sporting director Timmo Herding noted in a statement accompanying the news of Futkeu's departure, "We are very proud of Noel. He has the potential to succeed at this level and we wish him all the best."

Futkeu maintains an estimated market worth of €400,000 in the latest transfermarkt listings. Early reports suggest that the Kleeblätter have secured his services for a sum in the mid-six-figure range.
