Frankfurt loan Ngankam out to Hannover

Eintracht Frankfurt have parked German striker Jessic Ngankam in the 2. Bundesliga for the coming season.

In addition to finalizing a new loan-out for attacking prospect Paxten Aaronson on Friday, Eintracht Frankfurt also secured a new developmental destination for 23-year-old German striker Jessic Ngankam. The former Hertha academy man recently returned from an unsuccessful loan stint with FSV Mainz 05 during the 2023/24 German Bundesliga Rückrunde. Ngankam made just seven appearances with Bo Henriksen's Nullfünfter.

The former Germany U21 international will thus spend the 2024/25 campaign on loan in the German second division. Ngankam does bring with him the experience of 65 top flight appearances (and eight goals) for Mainz, Frankfurt, Hertha, and SpVgg Greuther Fürth, yet has been unable to progress beyond the role of a substitute for his last two Bundesliga sides.

"I simply have a very good feeling about this move," Ngankam noted in a Hannover-released statement, "The team has developed well and I've proven what I can do when given a chance. A loan to Hannover can also be a very good thing for a player's personal development."

"With his physicality and pace, he is a striker who is extremely difficult for any opponent to defend against," H96 director Marcus Mann added, "He has already proven at Bundesliga level that he is a player who can make the difference."
