Hoffenheim set to sign Dutch left-back

Multiple reports claim Hoffenheim have reached an agreement to sign Mats Rots from FC Twente.

TSG Hoffenheim have reached a full agreement to sign Mats Rots from FC Twente, according to AD and Sky Germany.

Sky Germany reports that the Bundesliga outfit will pay €12 million plus add-ons to sign the 20-year-old left-back on a contract until 2031, with a sell-on clause included for Twente.

According to AD, the total fee will rise to €16 million over the coming years due to guaranteed bonuses.

Rots has been linked with a number of other clubs, including PSV, FC Porto and Newcastle United.

He scored five goals and provided four assists in 37 games in the 2025/26 season.
