Kimmich takes dig at "harmless" Leverkusen
Bayern Munich controlled proceedings in Saturday's 1-1 draw with German champions Bayer Leverkusen, dominating possession 69-31 and goal attempts 18-3.
In an interview with BR, Joshua Kimmich expressed his surprise at the lack of attacking threat from Leverkusen.
"Personally, I've never seen Leverkusen play so harmlessly with so little possession," the Bayern Munich man told BR.
"Of course, we didn't have a lot of great chances to score. But the balance of the game was very, very good.
"Even though we were high up the pitch, it wasn't risky. It was all very controlled and very much the way we want to play," said Kimmich.
However, the fact that Bayern didn't win leaves a slightly sour taste in Kimmich's mouth.
“Of course we can have a bit of a positive talk about everything now, but unfortunately we didn't win.”
